Share Your Child Care Story with NAEYC

In the beginning of the pandemic, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) conducted a survey of all child care program types in an effort to better understand how the pandemic could impact child care programs. The results of the survey were used widely by NAEYC and other organizations who advocate on behalf of early childhood educators, like Groundwork Ohio and Ohio AEYC to inform policymakers on the urgent need to invest in child care.

We are now in the recovery phase and need your input once again on how programs are currently responding to the pandemic. The survey responses will once again inform child care relief conversations with policymakers. We need your help to understand the impact the pandemic has had on child care programs in Ohio and the ways state and federal policymakers can best support you in the coming weeks and months.

Because we value your time and insight, anyone who completes the survey by Tuesday, June 30th will be entered into a drawing to win one of six $50 Visa gift cards compliments of Groundwork Ohio and Ohio AEYC.

Whether your child care program is reopening, never closed, or is still in limbo, we want policymakers and the public to know what challenges you are facing and how you are feeling about the decisions and circumstances in front of you.

Please complete this survey in English or in Spanish BY JUNE 30 to help inform the next set of potential policy actions so they can effectively support child care across all states and settings.

We are happy to announce that we are joining a webinar today at 1 PM hosted by Advocates for Ohio's Future. We will be joining the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children and Children's Hunger Alliance in an in-depth discussion on how COVID-19 has impacted child care in Ohio and what is being done to save the industry.
