This time last year, we shared our bold plans for 2020 with one primary theme: ENGAGE. While the past year unfolded in a way none of us could have predicted, we are humbled and honored to share that the persistence, passion, and flexibility of our team at Groundwork has allowed us to deliver on that plan in a way that exceeded even our own expectations.
In 2020, we...
In 2021, we are building on that momentum. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, we aren’t shying away from BIG plans again in 2021. We hope you see your passions and your work reflected in the work outlined in this report and that you will join us in the weeks and months to come as we build on this momentum to create a brighter future for young children and families in Ohio. This year, we're focused on...
Championing strong prenatal-to-three policies
Advancing early childhood equity
Engaging Ohio's early childhood professionals

Advancing Early Childhood Leadership, Equity, and Quality with Ohio AEYC
This week, the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children announced a new partnership with Groundwork Ohio on the Power to the Profession Action Network project. This new project aims to amplify the voices of early childhood educators to inform policy, promote best practices, and advance a strong early childhood system in Ohio. This project will be funded by a grant from Groundwork Ohio and will prioritize services that support family child care providers who serve infants and toddlers with a special emphasis on engaging and supporting early childhood educators of color.
We are looking forward to deepening our relationship with Ohio AEYC as we work together to elevate the voices of Ohio's early childhood educators.
