Press Release: Groundwork Ohio Elevates Boulton to Vice President

Groundwork Ohio, the state’s leading policy and advocacy organization uniquely focused on the needs of young children during the prenatal period to age five, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Brittany Boulton as Vice President.

Brittany Boulton joined Groundwork Ohio in January of 2024 as Managing Director of Advocacy and Engagement, and brings a wealth of passion, experience, and relationships to advance Groundwork’s mission. Already this year, she directed Groundwork’s Roadshow Listening Tour, executing 14 regional events throughout Ohio to uniquely engage diverse stakeholders in the organization’s policy agenda-setting process. She has also been instrumental in leading our policy work at the Statehouse at a time when there have been more bills focused on young children and child care than any other time in recent history.

Brittany is known on Cap Square for building authentic relationships and powerful coalitions in pursuit of meaningful policy change. A skilled collaborator, active listener, and bold advocate, Brittany manages Groundwork’s extensive network of early childhood stakeholders and coordinates all lobbying and advocacy activities. Brittany will also continue to build external relationships with statewide and regional partners while supporting internal staff development in her new position.

“I’m thrilled that Brittany has accepted this new role and am excited to see her soar as a leader of our organization as we build a powerful early childhood movement across the state,” said Lynanne Gutierrez, President & CEO. “She is a dynamic leader and a true collaborator and will no doubt make a huge impact to improve the lives of Ohio’s youngest children.“
