A Letter from Groundwork Ohio's President and CEO
Dear Friends,
Over the past five years, it has been my privilege to lead Groundwork Ohio and help transform it into a highly effective and respected public policy and advocacy organization. Through our diverse and experienced team, I’m proud to say that Groundwork has become a trusted resource in early care and education policy and movement building. While we have been delivering for Ohio’s youngest children and their families, there is still so much more work to be done.
In 2022, we’re ready to elevate Groundwork to the next level.
As Groundwork continues to grow, as the early childhood policy landscape evolves, and as Ohio families and young children face unprecedented challenges in the face of a pandemic, one word emerges as a clear theme for our work in 2022: ELEVATE.
Elevate the voices and experiences of families with young children who are deeply impacted by the policymaking process. Elevate our policy research and advocacy to make Ohio’s youngest children a priority among community leaders and elected officials. Elevate data to help tell the story of how Ohio’s infants and toddlers are faring and to inform how policymakers respond.
Most importantly, we want to elevate the hopes, dreams, and needs of Ohio families and their young children so that every child in every corner of the state has a strong start in life.
