Over the past couple of months, thousands of dedicated child care providers have made the brave decision to operate pandemic programs caring for and nurturing the children of essential workers. In recognition of this critical work, Groundwork launched a campaign in mid-April to show our appreciation for pandemic child care providers by raising awareness about the important work they are doing for children and offering an opportunity for stakeholders to do the same by sending thank you cards to these incredible programs.
This week, we mailed over 2,000 thank you cards to every center- and home-based pandemic child care provider in Ohio. As programs across the state re-open over the next couple of weeks, we continue to applaud the truly essential work child care professionals across the state do every day--before, during, and after the pandemic.
