Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I am filled with gratitude for your steadfast commitment to Ohio’s youngest children and their families. Together, we have laid a strong foundation for progress, and this year, our collective efforts will be more critical than ever.
At Groundwork Ohio, our focus for 2025 is encapsulated in the phrase “Forward Together: Bridging Gaps, Building Futures.” This captures the spirit of collaboration, resilience, and determination that drives us to overcome systemic challenges and create lasting change for children birth through five.
Over the next six months, our organization will prioritize:
Advocating for Transformative Policy: With the upcoming state budget process, we are seizing this crucial opportunity to ensure that Ohio’s youngest children and their families are at the center of public investment.
Elevating Community Voices: Building on insights from our Roadshow Listening Tour, we will amplify the perspectives of families and community leaders to inform equitable, impactful policies.
Strengthening Partnerships: We will continue to grow our coalitions, working closely with you and other key stakeholders to drive systemic change that improves outcomes for all children.
The state budget process represents a pivotal moment for our shared mission, and we need your voice and partnership more than ever. In the coming weeks, we will provide opportunities for you to engage in advocacy, share your expertise, and help shape a budget that prioritizes young children. Whether through attending hearings, signing onto coalition letters, or mobilizing your networks, your involvement will be essential to our success.
