Dear Friends and Supporters,
Reflecting on our incredible journey across Ohio to create our policy roadmap that will drive our next two years of work, we are filled with deep gratitude for the opportunity to engage with so many of you during our Roadshow Listening Tour. From the banks of the Ohio River in Portsmouth to the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, we met with Ohioans from all walks of life. Visiting 13 diverse urban and rural communities was not only a powerful experience, but also an essential and significant investment in understanding the unique and shared challenges faced by young children and their families across the state.
It is with great excitement that we introduce our report, Driving Change. This document is much more than a summary of our findings—it’s a roadmap for Ohio’s future, a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive. The conversations, ideas, and concerns we gathered along the way have shaped our policy agenda, which reflects the values, hopes, and voices of the communities we serve.
As we release this agenda, we are more committed than ever to living the ideals that drive our mission—equity and the unwavering belief that Ohio can and should be the best place in the nation to be a young child. We recognize that the road ahead will not always be smooth. The work will be challenging, requiring us to navigate complex obstacles and intersections, but together, we can build the momentum necessary for transformative change.
This report is not the destination—it’s the starting line. Now is the time to mobilize and turn these policies into action. We ask each of you to join us in this journey, to continue lifting your voices, and to hold us—and Ohio’s policymakers—accountable as we work together to deliver on the promises embedded in our policy agenda.
Thank you for your partnership, your passion, and your steadfast commitment to our shared vision. Together, we are driving change, and we are confident that with your continued engagement, Ohio’s children and families will have a brighter, more equitable future.
With deep appreciation and solidarity,
